Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
During his visit to Balurghat, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President Sukant Majumdar, advocated for an increase in BJP Bengal's Lok Sabha seats from 18 to 30 in the upcoming 2024 elections. Shah emphasized the significance of this increment, citing BJP's goal of securing 370 seats in the Lok Sabha.
He referenced BJP's purported success in ending infiltration in Assam and expressed confidence that a higher number of seats in Bengal would further fortify border security. Shah stated, "If Bengal BJP gets 30 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, then not even a bird from across the border will be able to enter here."
